Workshop

OTIF organises training events for managers and experts from the Member States, particularly those Member States that have only recently acceded to COTIF and those that are interested in acceding.

On 26 and 27 November 2008, a workshop on “Technical Approval” was held in Belgrade. It was aimed at those Member States of OTIF that are not Member States of the European Union. On 16 and 17 December 2008, OTIF, together with the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan, organised a seminar in Baku to support the accession of Azerbaijan and Georgia to COTIF.

Another workshop was prepared together with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). This workshop looked at “rail transport between Europe and Asia”. It was be held in Istanbul on 9 and 10 June 2009 at the invitation of Turkish State Railways (TCDD).
